Ms. Muenster is responsible for coordinating the Intervention Assistance Team (IAT). Students referred to this team by parents or their teachers, may be experiencing academic, behavioral and/or social issues. During the IAT process, team members discuss ways to help the student be more successful in the school environment. Parents and students are a vital part of this process. When parents are invited to attend an IAT meeting for their child, we hope that they make every effort to attend. A successful outcome is a result of all of us working together as a team.
One of the team teachers or a parent can refer a student to the Intervention Assistance Team. Parents will be sent a letter informing them of when the child is on the schedule for an IAT. Enclosed will be a Parent Questionnaire to complete and return to Ms. Muenster prior to the meeting. Ms. Muenster will make a reminder call to the parents the day before the meeting.
IAT meetings are typically held during and after school hours.
